When in Rome!

From the Romans to the natural world, The National Poo Museum exists to safely explore the amazing world of poo. Through our unique collection and displays, we use quirkiness and family-friendly humour to break through the poo taboo so we can engage, entertain and inform our visitors. We want you to explore the world’s stickiest subject with us, our aim is to change how you think about this most astonishing substance.

Unique interactive displays

You can even polish a turd!

Get really hands-on!

We have specially designed and made an array of exciting interactive displays that allow YOU to lift the lid on the astonishing secret world of poo in a variety of engaging ways! There are things to sniff, handles to turn, pipes to talk through, buttons to press, and of course a huge collection of preserved poos to get up close to!

Children’s play area.

We’ve got a brilliant retro children’s play area just out the front of our museum. It’s fenced and gated and dog-free so completely safe. Perfect for mucking around on the swings, roundabout, slide, and climbing frame…or having a family picnic in the shade of our majestic oak trees.

For dog owners, there are our gardens and cliff walks. Please do help us by picking up after your pooches!!
