The Poo Museum is temporarily closed while we move to a new building. In the meantime we will be opening a Plop-up Poo Museum based around our giant wooden tricycle. It will be at various locations on the Esplanade between Sandown town and Sandown Zoo on Wednesdays.

The Poo Museum will take part in a meeting with a multi-disciplinary team of vets, historians and other specialists to make plans for a national scheme to tackle dog mess. The outcome will be an application to the Wellcome Trust to fund the scheme.

Quiz show hosted by Kate Humble, with Team Captains Chris Packham and Lucy Cooke, featuring The National Poo Museum's finest specimens. In the 'Whose Poo' rounds celebrity guests will sniff and dissect our scariest animal poos as they try to determine the origin of the faeces. We worked with production company Mighty Productions to bring this to your screen.

We begin our Poo Museum Tour with an exhibition in the Community Room above Sandown Library, Isle of Wight. It will be a busy weekend in Sandown Bay as Bay Coastal Community Team, Dinosaur Isle, Bournemouth University, Isle of Wight Zoo, Isle of Wight Natural History Society and others celebrate British Science Week with a series of events.

The Poo Museum will participate in the British & Irish Institute of Zoos & Aquariums Education and Presenters Conference. We'll be running a workshop called Nice Surprises - Using Novelty to Engage your Public. Isle of Wight Zoo, the host of Poo at the Zoo, will travel with us to Blackpool. They've been been nominated for an award.

The Poo Museum will join Arc Environmental Consultancy and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust to help Bestival-goers develop and explore the links between poo, ecology and biodiversity.
