We use Google Groups as collaborative email inboxes - ie inboxes that receive email from distinct sources or about distinct subjects. For example
[email protected] receives general sales emails as well as Web Shop auto transaction emails.
When you are subscribed to a Group, incoming emails from it will be forwarded to your TNPM Gmail. You can choose whether to answer an email as yourself (
[email protected]) or as the Group (
[email protected]).
In a collaborative inbox, you can claim an email as your responsibility, delegate it to someone else or mark is as completed.
Please check that you are signed in to your TNPM Google account (eg
[email protected]). If you are using a tabbed browser you can close Google's My Accounts page once you are signed in. If you are in the wrong Google account, you will see that account's pages instead of your TNPM pages.
GOOGLE SIGN IN Once you are signed in, you can choose which Groups you want to subscribe to and how the emails they receive will be forwarded to you. If you don't want to see emails from a group it is usually better to 'mute' the emails from it rather than unsubscribe from the group.
GROUPS [email protected] is a catch-all for general emails to TNPM.
TEAM [email protected] is for anything to do with sales. That includes emails generated by the Web Shop enquiry form and from Snipcart.
SALES [email protected] is for anything to do with the cafe. We don't yet know how the cafe will fit in so this Group is just a placeholder.
CAFE [email protected] receives all emails generated by contact, feedback and other forms on poomuseum.org, except for Sales Query forms.
WEBFORMS [email protected] as envisaged at the moment is primarily for dealing with children, the idea being that anything that needs transparency for child protection is done here. That might or might not be the best way to proceed!
EDU [email protected] is for emails that REALLY shouldn't be accidentally deleted or lost in the flood. For example, important finance stuff.
SECURE [email protected] is for emails about wedsite admin, systems admin or similar tech stuff that is boring or incomprehensible or might seem alarming if you're not tech-minded.
